RSM Fall Ministry Kick-off!

Here are some of the upcoming opportunities in the

Ridgeland Student Ministry:

Wednesday Night Live! will start next Wednesday, September 16th, from 6:30-8PM. We'll have time to hang out, eat some food, reconnect with friends, and start off our new 6 week series "Welcome to the Planet!"

Week 1: The Challenge

Week 3: Playing Your Part

Week 4: Seeing Your True Self

Week 5: Knowing Your Purpose

Week 6: Living Your Mission

RSM Annual Kick-off Bonfire is Friday, September 18th, from 7:30-10PM. This is an excellent event for students to bring their friends and get a "flavor" of the student ministry. Our bonfire is a "potluck" event and we ask students to bring a snack to pass. RSM will provide the drinks.

School's Out BLOWOUT All-Nighter

Here's the skinny on the all-nighter
coming up at the end of the month!

School's Out Blowout All-Nighter!
Friday & Saturday, June 26th - 27th
For ALL Jr. & Sr. High Students!

Depart RCC @ 6:30PM on Friday
Arrive @ RCC 7:30AM on Saturday

Events included:
Bowling, inflatable bounce-a-rounds,
Rochester Sports Garden, minature golf,
dodgeball, and more!

Cost is $30, which includes admission,
transportation, and awesome breakfast!
(For families with more than one student,
cost is $30 for first student, $25 for each
additional student...)

30 Hour Famine... on the other side.

Curious as to how the 30 Hour Famine went?
Here are some stats!

Ridgeland Community Church

5 students from Ridgeland participated
Total $$$ raised = $450 to help poverty!
$450 = 1 child having food/clothing/basic
medical care for 15 months!

Lakeshore & Ridgeland Combined

75 Students total participated
Total $$$ Raised = approximately $5,000
$5k = 13 children having food/clothing/
basic medical care for a year!

Our students showed up and made a difference!
Be looking to participate in the Famine next year!

30 Hour Famine Donation Packets

The student participation packets for the
30 Hour Famine are available!

I strongly encourage students who are thinking
about doing the famine to get in the consent
form to get these packets so they can start
getting sponsors!

The Famine date is March 27th-28th
& donations are due at that time.

We're helping the mission collect and "stuff" donated items.

We're partnering with organizations across Henrietta to impact

our community. We'll be raking leaves for senior citizens in need of help.

If weather is uncooperative, we're going to Sperry High School

to assist in projects that aid Henrietta.

This Sunday, October 19th, we're going to meet at Pizza Hut to eat and relax... and I'm paying the bill for everyone. This will be a time to just chill out and get to know one another better. I encourage you to think about it... free food, time to relax, hang out with friends... not a bad deal, eh?
